FAQ

Everything you need to know

New to CapPay or curious how it all works? You are in the right place for answers

Getting Started

CapPay is a fintech platform that helps you allocate, control and track money according to a clear purpose and a set of spending rules — so the money stays tied to what it was meant for.
CapPay is currently in pre-launch. Join the waitlist on this site to be notified as soon as it's ready.
CapPay is built for real, everyday situations — students managing allowances, parents sending money for specific purposes, couples and families sharing a household budget, friends and groups splitting expenses, and businesses controlling team or employee spending.
You fund your CapPay wallet, create a budget, set its rules, and you're ready to spend it yourself or share it with someone else.

Wallet & Funding

Your wallet is where incoming money lands before it's allocated. You fund it, and from there you create budgets that draw from it.
You transfer money to your own dedicated virtual account. Funds reflect in your CapPay wallet instantly once the transfer is complete.
Wallet and withdrawal mechanics will be explained in full detail when CapPay launches.

Budgets & Spending Rules

A budget is money with rules attached. You set the amount, give it a clear purpose, and define how it can be spent — the rules stay connected to the money wherever it goes.
Yes. Every budget can include a defined spending limit as part of its rules.
Yes. You can create a budget with an expiry period, so it's only valid for as long as you intend it to be.
Yes. You can see your budget status, spending activity, remaining balance, and real-time notifications as the money is used.

Sharing & Delegation

Yes — this is one of the core things CapPay is built around. You can hand someone a budget instead of a plain transfer, so the amount, purpose, and rules travel with the money.
Yes. Delegated spending — funding something for someone else while keeping the rules attached — is one of CapPay's core use cases.
They can spend within the budget's limit and purpose — not more, and not for anything else. You can see their spending activity from your side as it happens.
Managing a shared budget after it's been sent — including revoking it — will be covered in full once the app is live.

Payments & Spending

Once you've set a budget's rules, CapPay turns it into a controlled payment instrument you can use yourself or share with someone else — the amount, purpose, and rules stay locked in either way.
Yes — CapPay works just as well for your own budgets as it does for money you're sharing with someone else.

Security & Verification

No. CapPay's exact regulatory and partner structure will be explained clearly closer to launch.
Yes — as with any product that moves money, you'll need to complete identity verification. The specific requirements will be shared when CapPay launches.
CapPay is built around controlled, rule-based spending, so money keeps its purpose attached rather than sitting as an unrestricted balance. Full details on safeguarding and regulatory structure will be published closer to launch.

Fees & Charges

Fee details haven't been finalized publicly yet. We'll share the full breakdown closer to launch so there are no surprises.
Any charges tied to specific actions like creating or sharing a budget will be published alongside the rest of our fee details before launch.
